Bwythyn-y-Saer Reviews

It was a lovely place to stay and we had a great time. The double bed was incredibly comfortable.
Judith
Really enjoyed our stay at this lovely property. It was super clean, warm and cosy with a well equipped kitchen. We loved the peaceful atmosphere and country views with sheep! We found it well placed for visits to Abersoch and coastal walks and would definitely like to return. We visit the Llyn Peninsular often and this has been one of our favourite stays.
A comfortable accommodation generally. A welcome pack would have been a nice thought. The location was lovely.
Michael
Lovely cottage in a fantastic location.
It was lovely and we would recommend. A couple of tiny things that might be useful to feedback On arrival the toilet hadnt been fully cleaned. There was a note about the welcome pack but no pack. The fitted sheets do not quite fit the double bed so they ping off at the corners. Otherwise it was really lovely and just as promised. Communication was excellent and we enjoyed our stay.
Samantha
We had a wonderful stay from start to finish. The barn was absolutely beautiful with so many useful facilities. The barn was so clean and it was a lovely touch having a snack box to welcome us after our journey. The use of a washing machine was great after days at the beach. The views from the barn were fabulous and it was so peaceful. We enjoyed our walks to the nearby beach and to the village of Abersoch. What a beautiful conversion in a stunning area with everything you could want for a relaxing holiday.
Carole
We would have preferred two single beds rather than bunk beds. Extra toilet rolls. cling film and foil and available and an extra bin liner. It would be good to have extra outdoor furniture and have had outdoor and umbrella if and when needed, with cushions to sit on, otherwise cottage very comfortable and clean lovely location, peaceful and greenfield views. Thank you for the welcome pack. Of Bara Brith and Welsh Cakes much appreciated.

A beautiful little cottage for a lovley family holiday . Brilliant location for abersoch .
Very nice indeed. No internet access. Rather more than a short walk to tawn centre and beach. Bathroom basin taps difficult to stop dripping. Holiday was most enjoyable, these are all very minor. H

Lovely house which was perfect for us with 2 young children. A brilliant location which was so peaceful after the hustle and bustle of Abersoch. I would say a 12 min walk is walking very fast! We had a buggy and it was about 20mins the hill back being a killer after the a day at the beach, The house was bigger then expected from the photos and had everything we needed. The enclosed garden was very much needed with a 2 year old. Thank you for a great holiday and we hope to return one day!
This accommodation is great. It was in a perfect place for us to visit relatives who live nearby. It looks lovely and the sheep nearby kept us entertained. It was quiet and private and not far from Abersoch village although I doubt that you would want to walk into the village to eat at night. Parking space was excellent. We are a couple so had plenty of space and equipment. We have stayed here before and would certainly stay again. A few minor things need to be improved we think. The water from the hot taps is VERY hot. Dangerous if children are staying. A warning is needed. The quilt was very hot too for the time of the year. We had to borrow a lighter one. The bed was very comfortable although not much space to get out if a toilet visit is needed during the night. Some pans and crockery were not clean. We were not sure when the accommodation was last occupied but it was a little off putting. Disappointing as there was a dish washer. There was no dishwasher salt or rinse aid. I was not inclined to buy any as I have plenty at home and wanted to use the dishwasher only 3 times in one week. We dined out in a few wonderful restaurants! We know that the internet had been newly installed but didnt manage to get it to work at all. We werent that bothered but others might be.
Maggie
The cottage was well laid out. The welcome pack was well received. However there was evidence that cleaning was not as thorough as liked, dust under beds and on top of units. Freezer completely iced up and had to manually be cleared before use as wouldn't even shut. Lack of WiFi not great, would be beneficial
Nice cottage, sun in the morning but in shade for most of the day. The one frying pan was an omelette size frying pan. We bought a bigger one and donated it, along with a vegetable peeler that was missing. Overall very pleased, easy walk to the centre of Abersoch and beaches. The standard of cleanliness was adequate but the cottage had not been deep cleaned. There was dust on the bedside table and lamp and the edge of the bathroom floor was dirty, with dust on the skirting, when we arrived. We cleaned all this before leaving. I would not usually be quite so picky, but with covid I am definitely more aware of dust and dirt in shared spaces. We had a lovely holiday.
No WiFi was inconvenient but didnt affect our holiday. Think the property should have Shaver point in the bathroom Otherwise perfect for our stay
The cottage is in a great location, close enough to walk into Abersoch or short car journey to other beaches. The cottage has wonderful views over fields which had cows in them at the time of our visit. There is a lovely lawn to the front of the property which is great for children to play & yard to rear with washing line which came in very handy! The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you would need & the supply of bin bags, washing tabs, hand wash etc was appreciated. The only criticism I would make was that the bedroom furniture was falling to pieces, and some outside comfy garden furniture would be good.
Krista
Toilet seat badly stained. Television could only be tuned into one station, no mention of poor reception in advert. Left clothing behind which was not returned.
This is a very welcoming and homely cottage, providing comfort and all the facilities, very thoughtfully planned. It is a beautiful, peaceful location. There is so much to enjoy in the countryside and beaches near by.
The cottage was fantastic. .. everything we needed & so clean & comfortable! The location was perfect... stunning views & only a short walk from Abersoch or Llanengan. Would definitely look to book again
Good value for money. Really nice little cottage. Good located, well equipped with lovely sunrises in the morning. Could do with a new mattress on the bunks, some new chopping boards in the kitchen
We had a fantastic time in Abersoch using the cottage as a base for lots of walking. The cottage had a very cosy homely feeling about it and we would stay there again in a heartbeat. The only negative about the cottage is that it would be nice to have a small welcome package I.e coffee, tea, milk, or something along those lines.
Amanda
This property is super ckean in a beutiful location. 20 mins walk into Abersoch down a hill please note no footpath for majority of decent which may put some off but views on walk splendid. Easy reach of beaches in both direction hells mouth being our favourite.
Great accommodation, great location, couldnt fault anything
Great cottage very cosy beds and so peaceful overlooking the sheep and cows. Nice not to have WiFi as a break! Great location close to the town centre and beaches.
Absolutely loved our stay, our only comment would be for tall guests the sofa is a little small! !
