Nice base to explore other parts of Dorset including Weymouth which is a few miles away. We managed to park outside the house but the road gets busy and other cars park as the popular wishing well cafe get used a lot. Noisy if you sleep in any of the front bedrooms but thats part and parcel of being on a road. We had to override the heating at times as it got chilly in the house. The maintance man came on our first day to look at the boiler so think this may need exploring more. We didnt used the dishwasher either so had lots of washing up. Tea stained the mugs which may have come out if we could have used the dishwasher. Couple of areas in the house we thought could have been cleaned better floor in the kitchen by door and cat flap looked filthy, cobwebs in bathroom under the sink, in downstairs loo but we were in the countryside so know cant always keep up with these. Ensuite bedroom was beautiful but smelt frowsty at times ? Why Washing machine was great used it a few times. The recycling bin was almost full when we went to use it and realised too late that the bin men had come one morning. This information could be added to the info book so others dont have the same issue as us. We had another 2 bags of recycling which I ended up leaving in the bin shed that had no bin in it. Overall we had a great time staying here.
Lovely location, house have everything you need for a nice break.
Our family of six had a very happy week in this lovely house which had loads of space and importantly four bedrooms. Comfortable beds with quality bedding ensured a good night's sleep. The kitchen was well equipped and had everything we needed and the Welcome Box of goodies was much appreciated. Having two sizeable lounges was a blessing as was good WiFi coverage throughout. The house is on a busy country road which did not bother us but if you have young children care would be needed. So a good holiday destination, a few miles outside of Weymouth town centre, which was ideal for our party!

Very well kept property with all the items that you would need for a stay. As there was only three of us we never used some of the rooms. The village of Upwell is lovely except for the traffic at certain times of the day. Good location for exploring without the hustle of Weymouth. On road parking can be a problem at busy times due to the inconsiderate parking of visitors to the Wishing Well caf and gardens which is well worth a 5 min walk from the property. Overall this is not a reflection on the Property but could be a problem if there is more cars needing to park.
Cosy and super friendly place. Very central to all location. We will be back for another stay we can highly recommend the place with family or couples too, and plenty of space inside and outside . Great equipment kitchen and private garden court yard with seating and area for dogs and children to play and of course adults to relax and soak in the sweet Upwey Valley air.
We had a lovely few days at the Grain Store for our 3 generation get away! Had everything we needed and we just loved the auto night lights as you walked around the house as it was really dark in the village!

Beautiful house, very well equipped and cosy. Beds very comfortable and it was great that we had two lounges. It was also very good having two smart TVs with full access to everything. Although the weather wasnt the best we still had a very enjoyable week. Thank you to the owners for the welcome pack too Will definitely be returning

Such a lovely house. We had a few issues with cleanliness, it was very dusty and lots of bits on the floors but we put this down to the age of the property and not poor cleaners. The house was a great size for our group and the extension to the property really adds so much to the space. We loved the kitchen area and the downstairs living room was perfect. We never used the upstairs living room but it was really warm in there and not anywhere else. We didn't mind too much as we brought heated electric blankets. Having most of the bedrooms on the top floor with access to the bathroom on the floor below was inconvenient and because we didn't use the second living room, that would have worked much better as a bedroom. Overall, we had a great stay and the location was perfect as we went to the beach every day! Thanks for hosting!
We enjoyed ourselves very much thanks
Really enjoyed our stay at the Grain Store. Property was very clean spacious and well equipped. We loved the two living rooms and appreciated the welcome box. The patio area was good for the children and dog to play in although opening straight onto the main road caused us some issues, but that was overcome by keeping the gate locked. The village was lovely and we loved the wishing well tea rooms.Thank you for a lovely stay.

We had a lovely stay in The Grainstore, lovely spacious house over three levels, very well equipped with a welcome hamper of tea, coffee, biscuits, milk and Prosecco which was a welcome surprise ! Comfortable beds and cosy lounge on second floor. Lovely dining area and kitchen area. Great location. Would definitely recommend The Grainstore
Had a fantastic week at the Grain Store. Beautiful house with a really well equipped kitchen a bonus to have knives that actually cut! and a lovely welcome hamper. Loved the two sitting rooms with their big comfy sofas, we used the downstairs for games and puzzles and the upstairs for general chilling out. The beds were really comfortable with crisp white linen and plenty of fluffy white towels were provided. Perfect little courtyard garden and plenty of roadside parking. Upwey is a charming little village with friendly residents, and we recommend the Old Ship Inn for its great staff and wonderful Sunday roast. Thank you for an amazing week in your lovely house.
Lovely big house with plenty of room for everyone. Apart from the cars going past it was very quiet. Facilities were great apart from a few minor issues. The shower only run cold water. The downstairs toilet seat needed tightening as it was moving about when you sat on it. Couches very low and not great for older people. My mum really struggled to get up from them. On the plus side though the beds were very comfortable. Kitchen well stocked with everything you could need. Lovely hamper. Upstairs very warm and cosy.

This is a charming and characterful cottage, literally nestling in the hillside above Weymouth and situated in a picturesque hamlet. A very pleasant stay indeed.
Everything was perfect. Thank you
We had a wonderful week at the Grainstore Weymouth. The house was welcoming, clean, comfortable and had a very well equipped kitchen, everything we needed was supplied. Thank you for the welcome gift, it was very well received, a kind thought. Dorset is such a beautiful county we are sure it will not be our last visit, much more to see. The Blanch family

What a shame we couldn't stay longer than a weekend. This is a lovely property in a very pretty village. The host was very accommodating and the standard of equipment was very high. There is no doubt we will return
We had a lovely few days at the Grainstore. It was well positioned to do some walks and for the tank museum!
Lovely property with ample space for 7 especially with the two sitting rooms. Kitchen well stocked and so many extra little attentions to detail. Beautiful welcome hamper and milk in the fridge which was a lovely touch when we arrived on a miserable rainy day. House actually too warm for us so turned down the heating! Beds super comfy and lovely clean linen plus thick towels! Not a problem to find. Parked on the road as only really space for one car by the garage behind the property. Not an issue. Easy access and small courtyard totally enclosed so safe for dogs and small child! Stayed at many many rentals with our in laws and this is the first one they have said they would like to return to! Local wishing well tea house an absolute gem and 3 mins walk from the house!
