We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here, the property and it's gardens are beautiful and so peaceful,we loved waking up to the sheep in the field and the sunsets were stunning, even on a rainy days it's beautiful I got to take lots of pictures of the scenery for my photography and artwork, the cottage inside is beautiful too,we used the lovely inglenook fireplace every night, which was very warm and cozy, the bed linen was nice and very comfortable,it was good they supplied hot water bottles, had all the kitchen amenities you could need, our dog loved it here too,the prosecco and crackers were a lovely touch thank you,the only minor thing was the drive up to the cottage as the road up to it had some potholes but some of these seemed to be kept filled in with gravel,I have a small car and managed to drive down,we also met the lovely owners who were most welcoming to us and our dog and they were very easy to contact if we needed anything, you truly have a beautiful cottage wish we could live there! !

What a beautiful cottage! Very well appointed and comfortable. The views are fabulous and walking down to the sea is an absolute bonus. Id like to retire here! We had a great stay and hope to return

We loved what this couple have done with the cottage, it's open, spacious and a joy to live in Perfectly placed between the open headland and best beach in the UK it had everything we needed including privacy Wonderful
We had a wonderful two weeks at Garreg Haul, the accommodation was spacious and comfortable with all mod cons. The sole reason I didn't award 5 stars for cleanliness was due to the fact there were a lot of cobwebs everywhere which just took the shine off the cleanliness. We had a malfunctioning tv and the owners personally supplied and installed a new one in under 24 hours which was much appreciated. The only additional item would be a hairdryer, one thing less to pack. The cottage is in a delightfully, peaceful spot with amazing views and plenty of walks without getting in your car. There are many beautiful beaches to visit and explore and most are dog friendly. We will definitely return for another holiday without doubt.

We love staying at Sunstone Garreg Haul we feel so at home such a beautiful place I'm serious when I say if the owner ever decided to sell could I please buy this beautiful cottage I want to live there can't wait to go back again
Very much enjoyed our stay at Garreg Haul. Cottage in a beautiful position near the coastal path and good for people who enjoy walking. We found the cottage very comfortable for the two of us. Enjoyed waking up to view of sea and coast from bedroom window. Owners responed promptly to our communications and willing to address some of the minor problems we found. It is not very close to pubs or shops but we really enjoyed the peace and silence. People visiting might like to be aware that very close to another property which did overlook gardens on one side of Carreg Haul but did have secluded garden on the other side. Kitchen worked well, very good shower and bed comfortable. June and Paul

Lovely place but lacks in a good clean and the facilities are a little too basic for a week. Advice for any future holiday folk to take the following Logs and kindling Washing up liquid and extra dish washer tabs Basics like milk as none left in welcome pack Extra towels as no washing machine A sharp kitchen knife as the ones there are blunt Poop bags as there was poo left on the lawn on arrival All in all lovely spot and sweet cottage but needs some attention
Loved the cottage. So peaceful. Everything you needed. Thank you
A charming cottage set in its own garden with really wonderful views in every direction. Everything in good order. Close to Abersoch. Would recommend the Sun Inn for food and atmosphere.
The silence around this property was the best aspect for me. Struggled with the hob, controls barely visible.
Could do with cloths washing facilities . Lovely cottage in a beautiful place. Enjoyed our stay very much.

Lovely cosy cottage , in a very peaceful spot of the Llyn Peninsula. A welcome hamper is a lovely touch . Nice to have the wood burner to put on in the evenings . Plenty of sitting areas outside if you get good weather to sit out . We only managed to once but lovely views of the beach from the top patio . The only thing I would have liked was a hairdryer unless I missed it .
Very comfortable and well equipped. One complaint is the over sensitive smoke alarms which reacted violently to use of the toaster! Position of the cottage is great with views of Hells Mouth and easy access to the coastal path. Owners very helpful and welcoming.

What an amazing cottage in such a beautiful location so tranquil, with a fantastic enclosed garden with patio areas to admire the breathtaking views, sunrises, sunsets and to dine looking towards the beach and mountains. Very equipped with everything needed and a beautiful ambience, such a testament to the owners. Amazing coastal walks from the gate and a lovely walk to the beach. Thank you for sharing such an idyllic place, we have already recommended it to numerous friends. We are hopefully returning in the near future. Kristy, Steve & Ebony
We were a family of four, plus dog, visiting at the end of August. Sunstone was perfect for our needs and in a stunning location, overlooking the beach and surrounding landscape. The cottage was well kitted out, clean and cosy. It is beautifully renovationed and well maintained. Plenty of outdoor space for the dog, with two connected garden spaces. Didn't feel overlooked by the neighbouring holiday let and it was very peaceful. With kids under 10 walking to the nearby beaches with all the required kit wasn't popular. Jump in the car and you can be somewhere stunning to explore in no time. Talking of driving, some other reviews have seemed harsh. Yes you have to navigate a single track road not a long one and it has some passing points before you meet a track leading to the cottage National Trust land, which they do their best to maintain. Just remember it's a holiday. Relax, drive slow and enjoy the scenery We loved our stay and will be back!
Lovely cottage. Had a great week. Owner happened to be there on arrival and showed us around. Twin bedroom very small and really only suitable for kidsno storage in twin room either but clothes rack outside. My 23 yr old son struggled in the room. Double room was lovely with plenty of room and storage. Heating easy to use and kept cottage nice and warm. Bathroom small and.its only personalbut I hate baths with tap in the centre and not at the end. Difficult to get in and out of and as bath was narrow to suit the room it was a bit of a pain. Old fashioned latches on internal doors look lovely and suit the old cottage style but are very noisy in the middle of the night if you need a pee. So this Meant Id one of us got up for a weewe all didas the dog thought we were being burgled hahahah. Views around were fab. But area is very windy being right on the end of the peninsula. Would recommended a new 4 slice toaster so everyone can breakfast together and a supply of egg cups and a toast rack a sweeping brush would also come in handy. Overall a lovely cottage and the wood burner would be fab in the colder months of the year. The only downside was inability to leave dog off lead for a good run. Sheep and horses roam the area right outside the cottage so lead walks only until to find your way down into Hells Mouth. Long pebbled wind swept beach there. But quite a challenge getting down there with a springer spaniel pulling you all the way on the end of a lead. Thanks for a lovely week.

Beautiful spot, great views, perfect for stargazing on a clear night and great spot for walkers. Accuracy of listing Information says less than 5 minute drive to Abersoch. We would dispute this and so did Google route planner. Cleanliness We were disappointed to find vast amounts of cobwebs which looked as though they had been there for some time. Our main disappointment was the challenging access to the property. The single lane road is tricky especially when we had to reverse on meeting an oncoming vehicle but to be expected in a rural setting. What was not expected was the unpaved, potholed road which finally leads to the cottage. This has been exceedingly unpleasant to navigate and was made even worse by rain. The information should warn about this as it spoilt our holiday facing this each time we wanted to go out. We cut our losses and went home early.
We enjoyed a lovely week at Sunstone Cottage and would highly recommend to everyone including friends and family. The location is simply stunning with panoramic views over the sea to the Snowdonia Mountains. The accommodation is well presented and clean with a well equipped kitchen and a good bathroom. The gardens are secluded and relaxing which is where we enjoyed dinning most evenings. We are looking forward to returning again.
What a find! A lovely cottage in a very special place, so peaceful. Everything you need for a comfortable cosy holiday. Lovely sunny enclosed garden with fabulous views.Perfect for us, looking forward to our next visit .

Great property, lovely place to stay, this was our second visit and will be returning soon i hope.
My only grumble was it took me two days to find the main switch for the oven. It's in the bottom at back of the cupboard, on the left of the oven.
Second time there. Stupendous views and idyllic location. First class facilities and decor. Mollie the pooch loves the garden and weve booked again for next year. Its like a second home I wish!. Very highly recommended.
Absolutely stunning location and beautiful cottage. Very welcoming and snug. Owners were very friendly and helpful. The wifi was good. Lots of walks close to the cottage.

Our week long stay at Sunstone Cottage was amazing. The view is outstanding and we spent many an hour just gazing across. The immediate area has lovely coastal walks to explore without using the car. The cottage itself has been done to a very high standard with everything we needed and was absolutely spotless when we arrived. We have already recommended Sunstone to family and would return without hesitation. Such a beautiful place to relax and chill down.
We had the best time away here. The cottage is beautiful, and very accommodating. We went with our 3 year old son and he loved it! The weather was beautiful so we spent a lot of our time in the sunshine on the beach. The Hammock was fun and very comfy to relax in. We had a bbq and made some tasty meals in the well equipped kitchen. The gardens were lovely and we were able to catch the sunshine in both at different times of the day. Emma was very helpful and knowledgeable of the area. We had the best time, thank you!
A peaceful comfortable cottage well away from noise and traffic. Situated on the edge of National Trust coastal heath land with a beautiful view across Hells Mouth in one direction and Abersoch in the other. The weather was cold and very windy during our stay but we were never cold in Sunstone Cottage. Lovely walking from the door and lots of sandy beaches to chose from locally and further away.
Unique beautiful place at such a fabulous location if you enjoy peace and tranquility
Ingrid
Very comfortable cottage. Great to have an enclosed garden for the dog and wonderful walks from the front door.

Lovely well equipped cottage which was comfortable and relaxing lots of welcoming touches like the hamperhot water bottles and the fire ready to light. Loved the decor and kitchen area is well planned. Location is stunning
Very clean and well equipped with up market furnishings. The view from the cottage is breathtaking and the National Trust headland is just outside the door. Great walks with our dog and the location is superb. Met the owners on arrival and they were at the end of the phone if we had any complaints which we didnt. I would highly recommend if youre looking for a quiet and peaceful break. Weve rebooked!
I dont think there are enough positive words in the dictionary to describe how wonderful a location and cottage sunstone is! Out of the hustle and bustle of Abersoch but within a few mins drive on national trust headland where wild ponies roam, the views over hells mouth beach are simply breath taking. If you are looking for peace and quiet, believe me you could hear a pin drop. Dark clear skies at night were a delight! The cottage is well equipped and lovely and cosy inside. The layout is great and the garden secure if you have dogs. The kitchen is high spec and cooking was easy and dish washing even easier! Has a dishwasher! Yay! Not sure what comments in an earlier review were about but I can assure anyone else that the bed sheets were wonderful and pillows great. Im six foot and the duvets on single bed covered me fine. There was plenty of wood for fire on arrival. Salt and pepper was where Id expect to find itin the salt and pepper mills. Id highly recommend this cottage, amazing location, peace, quiet and wonderful views. Owners were fantastic and on hand if needed. I recommend a trip to Aberdaron. Lovely beach and a great bakery for a lovely loaf of a bread!
Very special place, well equipped, warm clean & cosy, great location beautiful & breathtaking, would highly recommend!
