Caban Tywod Reviews

Kimberley
Lovely quiet location. Accommodation was modern, clean and cosy. As described in advert. Highly recommended. Little Park over the way on the campsite, access is via the road around to the site. Would be nice if this had little access point onto site vs walking on road with little one. Good access to Abersoch as we had a toddler we drove but could be walked if relatively fit as it is hilly. Thank you!

Love the place totally. A useful addition would be a nonslip rubber mat to place in the bath to enable easier in and out when getting a shower.
Lovely little place, 2nd time we have been back there. A great time had by all!
The lodge is in a very private position overlooking the caravan site with beautiful sea views. The living area is quite spacious and, in the main has everything needed for your holiday. Having a dishwasher and washing machine is certainly a bonus. Its a nice touch to find complementary tea, milk and cakes. The location is great, just a short drive into the centre of Abersoch. The deck area is lovely and in good order. Ample parking spaces for several cars. If six adults stayed I think it would be a bit cramped in the lounge seating area. The deck area would benefit from a storage unit for the seat cushions stacked in a pile on the lounge floor is not ideal and looks unsightly We had chilly very wet weather and found that the heating in the lounge and the main bedroom needs updating as they are very old and dont work. The electric fire was a bit hit and miss and there arent any instructions on how to use. In the main we enjoyed our stay, although I would say that the lodge is a little tired and needs updating. Based on the price we paid I would still say value for money.
This is our 4th time staying at this amazing chalet. Everything you can possibly want is provided, even welcome goodies and milk. The owner is so lovely! So comfortable and clean with a really homely feel. Outside sofa, table and chairs and even a bbq. Views are outstanding, we never want to come home. The beach is about a 20 min walk away and less than 5 min drive. Beautiful shops, pub and restaurants near the beach. Something for everyone. We have already booked again for later in the year.

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay at Caban Tywod. The location of the Caban is beautiful, and, the views are fabulous. The Caban was very clean, and, little extras left for your convenience, ie, milkteacoffee and a few sweet snacks for your arrival. We were extremely lucky with the weather, however, there are plenty of throws should you wish to sit outside and enjoy the views on cooler days. Its a lovely walk into Abersoch, about 20 mins, down hill, and, obviously up hill on return. You would need to be careful with small children as there is no footpath. We also did the longer walk into Abersoch which was beautiful. We would definitely recommend, and, hope to return in the future.
Sharon
Caban was in a beautiful spot and walking distance to Abersoch which is what we wanted, but feel that the quilt should be upgraded now weather getting colder, and it would benefit from a good spring cleantop of headboard very old dust ,some cobwebs and limescale in the bathroom. Also there's no storage for your own shopping.
Great location and setting with a beautiful view. Facilities were great and easy to hand.

This is our second holiday in caban tywod and we would recommend to anyone its like home from home
Really nice cabin in great location. Short drive to centre of Abersoch or around 1520 min walk. Really quiet and well kept site. Cabin was spacious, well kept & clean. Would definitely recommend!
A lovely lidge overlooking the campsite which is just over the fence. When you look across the site, you are greeted a a stunning view of fields and sea. We came here for 3 days with two other family members to celebrate a big birthday and a big anniversary. We were not disappointed in the slighted. The photos on the website are a true reflection of the lodge and facilities. It's around a 20 minute walk into Abersoch along a winding courtyard road, so be careful. We are thinking of booking again for the same weekend next year.

Beautiful Lodge, very spacious, immaculately clean, all accessories provided, ... Beautiful Lodge, very spacious, immaculately clean, all accessories provided, towels and bedding included for your stay, large spacious furnished decking outside with barbecue and outstanding views
Sylvia
The wardrobes in all the bedrooms had things in that took up space which were meant for hanging clothes . The hot water when having a shower was hit and miss it took a while to come hot .
Jennifer
We loved our stay and will be booking again xxxxx
Absolutely amazing stay as always. Beautiful chalet with everything you could possibly need and with amazing views to wake up to every morning. We don't want to go home. The chalet is so very clean and comfortable. It's got such a lovely feel about it, just like home from home. Thank you for a fantastic stay, we'll be back again soon.
Lovely lodge just off the Tyn Y Mur caravan site. The snack shack food was amazing. Only a few negatives the sofa's need upgrading as not very comfortable and cleaning could have been a little better lots of hairs on furniture and in bathroom, a couple of sweets down side of childs bed and a few chocolates under sofa which the dog managed find. Location great but we personally drove into Abersoch everyday as the road down had no pathway and lots of bends. Not safe with 3 children and a dog. Location 5 min drive to Abersoch, 20 min walk
Pauline
Lovely lodge, beautiful views. Furnishings were all great. My daughter and I stayed 3 nights and really loved our lodge. A walk in shower would have been better for me but I managed.
Very clean and tidy, well equipped. Beds very comfortable Wifi very poor and no Netflix. Rakatuen Tv just kept buffering Settee not comfortable and lounge would not seat six people Curtains needed all round, reflection on TV and privacy if light on Recommend for quiet get away. Walking and water sports Not a lot to do otherwise unless you travel an hour to other destinations
Tracey
Great Cabin. Everything youd need included. Home from home
Claire
Just returned home from 3 nights at Caban Tywod. Would highly recommend. The location is lovely and quiet and has wonderful views. The lodge was clean, tidy and very well stocked with everything needed for a selfcatering holiday. The beds were extremely comfortable with plenty of towels. Thanks for making our stay so relaxing.
Lovely property to stay at, would highly recommend
Shirley
The cabin is very clean and well maintained and has everything you need for a self catering holiday. TV is much improved from our previous stay and the outside area is clean and the cabin is in a lovely position. If I could make one suggestion it would be to change the 3 piece suite for something a little more comfortable, other than that a lovely holiday accommodation.
Beautiful lodge, spectacular views. Comfortable and homely.Only niggle was the heating .Described as central heating but turned out to be electric storage which worked from a timer. Once we had mastered it all was fine . Good communication with owner and onsite contact , would definitely stay again
With this property being off the main site, maybe adding the location precisely using the app what three words would be very helpful when trying to locate the property in the dark. Some of the lights bulbs could do with replacing as they don't work, both internally and externally. Additionally, the wifi was rather intermittent making communication difficult sometimes.
Anthony
This is a lovely Chalet in a fantastic location with view of the sea at the Mouth and also Cilan Headland. It is also located above the camp site with its own private entrance and good parking. The Chalet itself is beautiful inside with excellent facilities including a good supply of towels and catering essentials so often restricted in many rental properties, All in all a great place to stay. I can imagine it is great ,especialy during the summer, when you are able to make use of the terrace and barbecue.
Sandie
Peaceful and quiet we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and are now well rested.
Superb lodge! Great location. Beautiful view from the decking. EVERYTHING you could need is supplied! Bbq , utensils, cleaning products, blankets, extra pillows Really comfy couches to relax on. Tv, Netflix. Great host and managers checking everything we needed was there. Abersoch itself was great but make sure you book restaurants well in advance if you want to eat out! Even the chippy had huge queues each night. The surf shack onsite served great food! Super little park for the children to enjoy onsite too. THANK YOU!
Very nice accommodation. Great views.
